Each year, between mid-July and mid-September, more than 80% of the world's Semi-palmated Sandpipers flock to the shores of Johnson's Mills, just minutes from Dorchester Village center.

The Sandpiper Festival schedule hasn't been released online but is available at the moncton and other local Tourist Information Centres. 

On Friday, from noon to 7:00 p.m. runs the Photo Exhibit at St. Ed's Hall, Main Street followed by the Sandpiper Ice Cream Party at 6:00 p.m. in the Village Square.

On Saturday, almost 20 events and activities run between 8:00 a.m. and until the Beer Garden and Dance ends at 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning!

Sunday begins at 10:00 a.m. with Shep's Carnival and, 11 activities later, the day concludes with the Victorian Tea between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m.
